Here is an overview of what you need to make this recipe. I got this recipe from the book Fix-It and Forget-It.
The first thing you need to do is remove as much fat as you can. Leave just a little for flavoring. You need about a 3-4 pound pork loin roast or shoulder.
Place the roast into the slow cooker after the fat has been removed. Line your slow cooker with a liner for easier clean up.
You need to pour 1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce plus 1 tablespoon into a small bowl or measuring cup.
Add 1 cup of apple cider vinegar.
Add 2 teaspoons of red pepper flakes. Note this makes your meat a little warm so you can omit or cut it down.
I just realized that I added the wrong amount of mustard. I only added 1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon. You are suppose to add 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon. It still came out really good with this minor error.
Mix all together.
Pour over the meat in the slow cooker.
Cook on low for about 8 hours or on high for about 5 hours. Make sure the meat is tender but not dry.
We ate it with augraten potatoes and French style green beans.
Hope you give this recipe a try. Until next time enjoy your day.
