Vicksburg Part 1

One of the other places we decided to go to while in the South was Vicksburg, Mississippi. There is a battlefield there from the Civil War and they made it into a monument. It was nice but the humidity was a killer. This part is going to be the drive thru part. We did the drive thru tour one and the museum the next day. For the most part I will just do the photos so you can see. I didn't take photos of everything. There were a lot of statues and plaques.

All the different used during the civil war.

The Shirley house is the only house that survived the Vicksburg campaign.

You can still see where the soldier made the tenches.

There will be two more post for Vicksburg. I really enjoyed the drive and the audio that we bought. There is a lot of history here. Hope you enjoy the photos.
