This is the kitchen sink that came with the house. As you can see it isn't very deep. It was only 6 inches deep, this didn't work for me. So Mike let me pick out a new sink and faucet.
This is step two removing the old sink. Ignore the pink board below. They put in cheap boards so this is the paint that we got to cover it and protect it. The paint was a return that we got for cheap.
The new sink. It is 9 inches deep. Much better.
This is the new faucet.
Mike needed to widen the area so the sink would fit.
Making sure the sink will fit.
The sink is in.
Hooking up the sink to thewater.
Putting in the faucet.
The faucet is in and now plugging the extra hole.
All done. I love it.
Until next time enjoy your day.

Crockpot Pork Carnitas
This is what I made last night for dinner. This is everything you will need to make this dish.
The first step you need to do is make your rub. 2 teaspoons of salt (optional), 1 teaspoon pepper, 2 teaspoons of ground cumin, 1 teaspoon chili powder and 1 teaspoon of dried oregano.
You need about 4 pounds of a boneless pork roast. I didn't have a boneless one but this work. You rub the seasonings all over the pork and then place into the crock pot. I try to always use a bag because it makes clean up so much easier.
The next step is you need to juice 2 oranges. Next time I think I will just use orange juice. I had juice squirting everywhere but into the pot. You also need juice from a lime. For this I did use lime juice. I added 3 tablespoons.
When you get done with the juices you sprinkle the top with minced garlic. Use whatever your family likes. Recipe calls for 4 cloves minced. I used 1 tablespoon. Put the lid on and cook on low for 8-10 hours.
After it has cooked for the 8- 10 hours you need to take it out and shred it. Place it onto a foil covered cookie sheet. Add a few tablespoons of the juice in the crock pot and sprinkle over the meat and then broil for 5-10 minutes just until the edge are browned.
This is how I served it. You can use flour or corn tortillas. My family prefers flour over corn. I served it with peas and macaroni and cheese.
It is a different way to serve pork roast and keep your kitchen somewhat cool.
On a side note I had to change Wednesday's meal around to leftovers because we got busy and I ran out of time to cook dinner before the boys had to go to their activities. until next time enjoy your day.

More of the house
I know you probably aren't to interested in the bathroom, but you are going to get all the house. This is the master bathroom as is the photo below it. I took two different shots to get the whole bathroom. The cabinets next to the sink area we added since there wasn't any place to store our towels.
More of the master bathroom.
This is the laundry the room. It is off of the kitchen. These cabinets we had to add.
Here is another picture of the laundry room. This black refrigerator came with the house.
This is the boy's bathroom. This bathroom is really small. What you see is what you get. They barely have room to turn around in.
This little area is located around the boy's rooms and their bathroom. It looked bare so we added this to fill it out.
We are still working on the house but it is coming along.
Until next time enjoy your day.

Aryan's Room
Here are a few pictures of Aryan's room. He doesn't have any pictures on his walls. He decided to not put any up. I guess to much work on cleaning them. Yes that is bike in his room. We don't have a garage or shed yet so the bikes are in the house until we get something to store them. The clothes rack is to hang up the clothes after he washes them. This was before we got the dryer fixed and hooked up. The dryer is fixed but he hasn't folded down the rack yet. Yes, Bekah that is your night stand he is using.
This book shelf is mine. Each of the boys have one o my bookcases in heir room. That is a wizard on the top. Mike made and painted this many years ago.
This is Aryan on his computer while listening to music. This is were he spends most of his time. This is his bookcase.. He wasn't happy that I wanted to take pictures of his room, but not enough to remove himself. I also made him clean his room which all he did was throw everything into his closet.
Soon I will post some more of the house as they get done. Until then enjoy your day.

David's Room
I know it has been awhile since I last spoke about the new home but here is one room done.
This is David's rom. I took this picture as you look in from the door. This bookcase actually has my books on it. I have a lot of unread books and needed a place to put some of them. The two bottom shelves are all of the games we play.
Here is another angle from the doorway. This is David's bookcase. He doesn't have as many books. He isn't much of a reader. He still has a few items that e plays with but he is slowly growing out of that stage.
This picture is taken by his close to give you a different view. He wasn't happy with me because I made him clean his room so I could take these pictures. Needless to say his room is back to being slightly messy. As normal for teenage boys I guess.
Hopefully we will get Aryan's room done next. I will get pictures of that also.
Until next time enjoy your day.

David's first track meet
This is the first time David has done track. He didn't do it last year because his brother was in track and he didn't feel confident enough. Well, this year he decided to give it a try. He is holding his paper with the events he is assigned to do.
His first event was the 4x100 relay. He ran the 3rd leg. Unfortunately they didn't place.
Here is a closer look at David as they prepare to get ready.
His 2nd event was the 400 Meter dash. He came in 3rd. He is in JV.
Another closer look as he prepares.
His third event was high jump. He tied for 2nd in that event. He came home with some marks from the bar because he landed on it in one of his jumps.
The last event was the 4x400 relay. They came in second in that one.
Sorry no pictures for the high jump because parents weren't allowed down on the field and the last event it was getting dark and my picture didn't come out well.
He is enjoying himself and that is all that matters to us.
My weeks are now a little busier with him doing track but that is ok.
Until next time enjoy your day.

The house
So I thought you might like to see the plan of the new house. I am also inclosing some pictures.
So this is the kitchen with the laundry in the back. We liked this home because it is open. It came with a black refrigerator, dishwasher and gas stove.
This room is the living room. You can actually visit with people as you work in the kitchen. I couldn't do that in the old house.
This is actually two rooms. The dining room is the brown linoleum, and the carpet is the family room. We won't use it for a family but will live it open with very little furniture.
This is going to be Aryan's room. It is the room without a walk in closet.
This is another bedroom but will be used as a sewing room/office. We thought about putting the office in the family, but didn't like the idea of clutter. I make a mess when I work and I don't like to put things away when I am still working on it.
This is the master bedroom. There is a huge bathroom that comes off of it. The only thing I don't like about it is that the closet is in the bathroom. The closet is huge and has a door but you still have to go into the bathroom to get to it.
Last but not least is the bedroom that David will be using. The door you see is to his walk in closet.
As soon as the rooms are all done with how we want them I will post pictures.
Until then enjoy your day.
