How to make a plastic canvas bookmark

First, I learned how to make these bookmarks years ago in a primary sharing time at church. This is really simple that a child can do it. These are the supplies you will need. You will 1/8" ribbon. Make sure it is a smooth type and not ribbed, plastic canvas needle, scissors, and of course plastic canvas.
You will need to cut the plastic canvas to the size you want. These are about 8-12 inches tall and 6 rows across
Now you need to cut your ribbon. For the smaller bookmark the ribbon is 11" and the taller one the ribbon is16". Of course, this will change depending on the size of your bookmark and if you want the ribbon to dangle. You will need to cut enough for each row.
Now to start you will need to thread your needle.
Now onto making your bookmark. You will be weaving your ribbon in and out of the canvas. Make sure the ribbon is straight and not twisted. When you start the weaving make sure you leave a little as you begin so you have something to hold onto.
Once you get all the ribbon weaved into the canvas you want to make sure the ends are even. So just trim them to the length you like.
Here is is with trimmed ends.
Don't forget the other side.

 Here is the finished bookmark.
